We have been advised by Manningham Council of the following:
As the COVID-19 situation evolves at a rapid rate, we continue to closely monitor the situation and act on advice from the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and the Australian Government.
Many Council sporting facilities have already closed under government regulations, this has now been extended to all Council sport and recreation facilities from 11.59pm Wednesday 25 March 2020.
Open space (unlocked spaces and parks) are still open to the community for for walking, running etc and non-organised activities as per current government requirements.
As a result of these restrictions, in Manningham there will be:
- No access to pavilions in any circumstance
- No access to sports grounds and athletics tracks – through club or user group organised play, training or events including casual sporting-based activities, this includes personal training
- No organised or casual training organised by user groups
- No organised gatherings of user groups
- No organised sport
- No access to any council buildings
- No social sporting-based activities
- No casual booking of facilities for the foreseeable future. This includes casual use of facilities e.g. school bookings, business bookings, personal training, casual use of tennis courts and or lawn bowls.
These requirements will remain in place until further notice.
The safety of our community is our top priority. During this time any user group accessing these facilities will be in breach of their tenancy agreements.
All members are advised to NOT access any council buildings at the club including the clubrooms, storage shed and batting cage.
