Hi Doncaster Baseball Club Members,

Baseball Victoria has recently updated its policy regarding Working with Children Checks (WWCC) as a result of changes to the relevant Victorian Act. As such, Doncaster Baseball Club is encouraging all players (over 18), parents and volunteers to have a valid WWCC for the upcoming season.

The following roles will require a WWCC:
• all committee members, coaches (junior and senior), umpire volunteers, team officials (e.g. scorers), team managers, canteen volunteers
• other members of the club who are involved in regular direct contact with children. This contact can be oral, written or electronic communication in addition to physical contact.

This list includes nearly all senior club members. If you do not already have a WWCC please apply for one (it’s free!, instructions are in the document below) and include Doncaster Baseball Club and Baseball Victoria in the organisations list.

When you are applying, use the following details:

Club Address:
PO Box 3169
Doncaster East 3109

Phone # 0404 534 655

Occupational Code – 42 Clubs & Associations

When you have a WWCC please include the number and expiry date when registering for the upcoming season.

Regards,
Craig Hutton
President
